ELISHA'S PLEA / MY PRAYER

The first verse talks about Elijah's mantle, then the children ask for the Lord's blessing to fall on them.  The second verse can be used any time, especially as a closing prayer.

VERSE 1

Elijah! Elijah! Let your mantel fall on me,
Elijah! Elijah! God's servant I would be,
I'll walk with you where e'er you go
And when God calls you I will know
I'll never leave you for you see,
I want God's blessing to fall on me.

VERSE 2

Lord Jesus! Lord Jesus!  Let your blessing rest on me,
Lord Jesus! Lord Jesus! Your foll'wer I would be,
I know you'll lead me day-by-day,
You are the Life, the Truth, the Way,
I'll stay close by you for you see
I want your blessing to rest on me!
