I'M NOT AN ANGEL

 Many young children believe they will become angels when they reach heaven.  This song, with its easy to learn melody, shows them that the truth is even better- they are children of God.

If I were an angel I'd always be good,
And always do just as I should.
I'm not an angel and never can be,
But I'm a Child of God.

VERSE 2

Because Jesus loved me He bore all my sin,
God took it all, put it on Him;
I am forgiven and cleansed by His blood,
Now I'm a Child of God.

VERSE 3

Because I love Jesus I want to be good,
And always do just as I should;
I want my friends to see Jesus in me,
For I'm a Child of God.
